Philip M Keating Fund for the Future.
"Phil's Fund" is a donor-advised charitable fund of the Arlington Community Foundation. The Fund will make grants to various organizations to which Phil volunteered his efforts, time, and talents.

On May 28, 2013 a group of four fit and ambitious friends of Phil, led by his good friend, Luis Gendive, soccer coach and native of Spain, will leave Yorktown, Virginia and pedal around 3,500 miles to San Francisco, California. Tentative plans are for some members of Phil's family to ride the first leg of the trip. If your not able to join the team on your bike, you can support them with a financial donation!

Day 13, a bad day

After starting late, we left at 9 today start off the ride into Illinois. Before we could get there, it started to rain, and we had to delay our trip over an hour. We waited till the rain was calm and started to ride again. Again when we stopped for lunch, it rained again, so we had to wait till it was calm. When we got before the border of Illinois, we took a ferry across, which was nice and to take a break from the riding. We stopped at a Catholic Church, and seek shelter, it rained again at night. It was a bad day for the riders, but managed to ride 71 miles. Glad we made it into Illinois!
